About

Cereal rye, Secale cereale, is a domestic rye grown widely throughout North America. Field contamination from volunteer rye can create serious problems with wheat producers. It has shown to be a serious threat to the Colville Reservation, and is often seen growing in disturbed areas and moving into natural areas.

Please visit NWCB for more information on Cereal rye.
